The town of Castelsardo stands on a coast quite high and rocky; it has a suggestive medieval Castle, built by Doria family, and a fascinating Cathedral.
During last decades, this center became a good destination also for tourism.
In particular, there are beaches awarded with the blue flag in the near locality of Lu Bagnu, such as Ampurias beach or La Madonnina beach. There is also a little harbor, at the mouth of the river Rio Frigiano.
Especially relevant, during Easter period, here you can see the traditional religious manifestation of Lunissanti.
Also in winter months there is some event, like the New Year’s Eve concert, with famous italian artists.
