The event of Cortes Apertasa
The first occurrence of this event, also known as Autumn in Barbagia, was dated 1966.
Basically, it is an event involving some villages of the province of Nuoro, during the autumnal season; in particular, it is an opportunity for visitors to view traditional works and products.
The name Cortes Apertas literally means “open courts”; in fact, during these events, houses of the villages and their courts, become small taverns and shops, sometimes in small museums, with the intentions to welcome tourists.
Cortes Apertas is also a chance for Sardinia to enhance mountain localities, permitting to discover the charm of traditions.
