The nuraghe of Palmavera
The nuraghe of Palmavera stands near the city of Alghero.
It has a complex structure, with many remains of walls and several towers. In particular, two of them presents a good state of conservation.
As for other nuraghi, the foundation of this complex is dated between the Bronze Age and the Iron Age.
At the center of a circular structure, known as “meeting hut”, we can see also a sort of altar and a small tower carved in sandstone. Most noteworthy, archaeologist think that this little tower could be an interesting model, representative of the original structure of nuraghe.
